Gym and studio software with a training log people keep.

What is in it

A log, a kitchen, and a way in the door.

Not a trial of three things. All of it, on a free account, today.

Train

69 movements, ready to log

Pick from the library or add your own, build the session once, then open it in the gym with last week's weight and reps already in the field. Nothing to retype, nothing to remember.

  • 15 muscle groups and 8 kinds of equipment, filterable
  • Four kinds of personal best, found for you as you set them
  • Plate maths, a rest timer that survives your pocket, offline logging
  • A weekly card worth sending to somebody

Eat

215 recipes that know their own macros

Work out your number, then eat against it. Every recipe is built from real ingredients, so its calories and protein are computed rather than typed, and it scales to however many meals you are cooking this week.

  • 8,160 USDA foods behind them, not a guess
  • Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack, filtered in one tap
  • Say how many meals you want and the quantities scale with it
  • Put any of it on a day and the totals follow

Belong

Classes and coaches, in the same app

Find a gym near you, take a spot that cannot be oversold, and train under somebody who can see what you actually lifted. Or bring your own coach with you.

  • The timetable, the spot count and the register
  • A trainer directory where only people they trained can review them
  • A coach programmes you, and it lands on your calendar
  • Leave the gym and your history is still yours

What is free, what is paid, and who pays it.

Right now everything below is free for everyone. While the iPhone and Android apps are in store testing, every feature is switched on for every account and nothing is charged. We will say so before that changes.

Training on your own

Free

an account, and nothing else

Build it, log it, keep it. No card, and not a trial of anything.

  • Workouts and routines, every set logged
  • Your whole history, goals, badges and body metrics
  • Share a workout, train with a partner
  • Find a gym or a trainer, book a class
  • Export the lot as a spreadsheet, whenever you want

Coached by a trainer or a gym

$5.00

a month, the person being coached

Being programmed for, and having somebody watch what you lift, is the part that costs.

  • Everything above, plus your coach
  • The routines they prescribe, on your calendar
  • Your sessions visible to them as you log them
  • Meal plans they build for you
  • Leave, and your history stays yours

Personal trainers

$5.00

a month, the coach, not each client

Coaching somebody else is the paid act. Your own training is free whether you subscribe or not.

  • A roster of clients and what you prescribe them
  • Your availability, and sessions booked onto your calendar
  • What your clients logged, as they log it
  • Your listing in the directory people search
  • 30 days to set it up before you pay

Gyms and studios

$15.00

a month, the venue, not per member

Run the room: the timetable, the spots, the register, and the trainers who work there.

  • A timetable, spot caps, bookings and a register
  • Your trainers on the roster, each with their own clients
  • Your listing in the directory people search
  • Members who are not being coached join free
  • No setup fee and no minimum term

Partners are the fifth group and they pay nothing: people who send others here earn a commission rather than a bill, which is a separate thing entirely. A person pays the same $5.00 whether they are training alone, being coached, or doing the coaching, and $50.00a year is two months of it free. No “from”, no quote form, no per-member fee.

Nobody has to be sold twice

Your members already want a training log.

Every member app in this category is a booking screen. Open it, find Tuesday 6am, tap, close. It gets deleted the month somebody stops going.

Spottr's is a training log first, the kind people already look for and pay for on their own, with no gym attached. Your timetable lives inside something they open on the days you are shut. That is the argument for switching, and it is not a better scheduler.

What your members get, free

  • Their whole training history, theirs to keep and export
  • Every set opening with what they did last time
  • Your timetable, and one tap to book a spot
  • A weekly card worth sending to a friend
  • It keeps working the week they do not come in

None of that costs them anything, and none of it depends on staying at your gym. That is the point: a log somebody keeps is a log they open on the days you are shut.

The small things you notice at rep eight

None of this is a headline feature. All of it is why the log gets used on week nine instead of abandoned in week two.

It remembers, so you don't

Every exercise opens prefilled with your last top set, and your best ever sits next to it so the target can never quietly ratchet down after a bad day.

Works with no signal

Log a whole session in a basement gym. Sets save to your phone the instant you tap and sync themselves when you walk back out.

Records, found for you

Heaviest lift, best estimated 1RM, most reps, biggest set. Spottr watches all four and flags the record as you set it. No spreadsheet.

Plate maths, done

Tell it the weight, it tells you what to hang on each side. Kilos or pounds, switch whenever, your history is converted, never relabelled.

A timer that survives your pocket

Starts itself when you log a set and still reads true after your phone locks. It counts to a deadline, not down from a number.

215 recipes that already know their macros

Every one is built from USDA ingredients, so its calories and protein are computed rather than typed. Filter by breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack, say how many meals you are cooking, and the quantities scale with it.

A spot count that cannot be oversold

Classes hold their capacity in the database, locked while a booking happens. Two people tapping at the same second cannot both take the last spot.

Every Monday

A card worth sending

Sessions, working sets, volume, records, the week you actually had, on one card you can send to anyone. It carries effort and a date. Never your bodyweight, never your name, never a link back to your account.

A quiet week is reported as a quiet week. There is no red arrow, no broken streak, no line about what you should have done.

The part that is not a feature

Four promises, and how to check each one.

The angriest reviews in this category are not about missing features. They are about a promise that got withdrawn after somebody had already paid. So here are ours, in writing, each one testable before you give us an email address.

  • 01

Your history downloads in one click

Every set you have ever logged, as a spreadsheet, from your account page. On any plan, including a free one and a lapsed one. Not a support ticket, not an email, not a Pro unlock.

  • 02

The price you sign up at is the price you keep

If the price changes it changes for new accounts. Everything is switched on for everybody while the phone apps are in store testing, and that part is temporary: we will say plainly what is free and what is not before it ends, rather than letting you find out. What we will not do is take something you are already using and put it behind a paywall without telling you first.

  • 03

Your members' data belongs to your members

Each person exports their own history and it stays with their account if they change gym or trainer. A venue cannot download the training histories of the people it looks after, deliberately, and permanently.

  • 04

Cancelling takes the same number of clicks as starting

In the app, on the same page, with no phone call and no retention offer. There is no notice period and no exit fee.

The full version, including what we have not built, is on one page.

Before you ask

What Spottr does not do yet.

This is new software, so the list matters as much as the feature list. None of it is hidden behind a sales call.

There are no memberships and no recurring billing for your members, so Spottr does not take their money for you. There is no front-desk check-in screen and no waitlist. Your own training history imports; a roster of people does not, so bringing a list across is still manual.

Each audience page carries its own “not yet” list, and what happens if you leave is written down rather than discussed. If something on this list is the thing you need, we would rather you knew now than after a migration.

Questions

What does it cost?
Nothing, if you are training. Building workouts, logging, your whole history, sharing with a partner, finding a gym and booking a class are free with an account. Coaching a roster, running a timetable, long-term progress charts and the meal planner are the paid side. Everything is switched on for everybody while the phone apps are in store testing, and the prices go on this site before that ends.
What happens if I leave?
Everything you logged downloads as a spreadsheet in one click, from your account page, on any plan, including a free one and a lapsed one. No exit fee, no notice period, no support ticket.
What happens to my members' data?
It is theirs. Each person exports their own history, and it stays with their account if they change gym or trainer. A venue cannot download the training histories of the people it looks after, deliberately, and permanently.

The price is a number on a page, not a form you fill in.
